Forks & Corks Festival, Sarasota, Florida

Forks & Corks showcased an international cast of visiting winery owners and winemakers and the deliciously diverse cuisine from the independent restaurants known as The Sarasota-Manatee Originals. This second annual epicurean event was set amidst the beautiful grounds of the University of South Florida and The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art.

The Forks & Corks world-class weekend of food and wine invited participants to dine, drink and delight at vintner dinners; a fabulous sunset party on the bay at Ca d'Zan; interactive food and wine seminars; and The Grand Tasting in the courtyard of the Ringling Museum with visiting wineries, food sampling from over 25 top local restaurants, live entertainment and a charity wine auction to benefit The Food Bank of Manatee.

Named a "three day gastronomic Olympics" by the Washington Post, The Sarasota-Manatee Originals Food & Wine Festival celebrates local, independent restaurants while toasting the world's finest wines!  So raise your fork and pop a cork at the Sun Coast's premier food & wine festival - Forks & Corks!

CORDON D’ OR – GOLD RIBBON

INTERNATIONAL

CULINARY ACADEMY AWARDS

The roots of CORDON D’ OR – GOLD RIBBON go back a half century. It evolved through the culinary activities of Noreen Kinney across the world. The idea was to elevate interest in good food and remove the stigma that cooking was a mundane daily chore; and raise interest in food to the level of recognition as a ‘Culinary Art.’ It was the philosophy that Noreen followed from the start of her culinary activities as a teenager; and later through ‘Demonars’ and her articles, books, brochures and publicity materials published on her work. She applied the principles of CORDON D’ OR – GOLD RIBBON throughout her work.

Simplicity in Preparation

Quality and Style in Presentation

Where every dish becomes a Culinary Masterpiece
